You're not asking for much: Just a place you can call your own so you can live with your spouse and raise your family without a cloud of debt hanging over your head.
The government and corporate media keep telling you that the only way we can keep our jobs is by sucking up to the corporations. "Take that pay cut! Lose your benefits! Otherwise we're shipping your job to Mexico so a guy will do your job for $1 an hour!" In the meantime the CEO of your business is getting a pay raise.
Or maybe you're a small business owner whose struggling to stay afloat due to increasing rent and a sales decline that comes from people having less money to spend.
You're tired of the government telling you there's nothing that can be done to help you. While you're being told that "the market will work itself out", you're waiting for your elected officials to take action and work for you.
That's why I'm running for County Commissioner. As a member of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, I'll fight to make sure that you have a good paying job, and not at the expense of your dignity.
